Short answer
Do four things. Send leads in live (lead webhook, API, GoHighLevel or a workflow). Set "Dial new leads after" to 0. Turn on the Newest injected first rule so they jump the queue. Use a step cadence such as the Speed to Lead preset, so new leads are worked hardest on their first day.
Inbound leads go cold fast. Someone who filled in your form two minutes ago remembers you, is probably still holding their phone, and hasn't heard from your competitors yet. Every hour of delay costs contact rate. Here's how to set DialerDay up so new leads ring first.
1. Get leads in live
A lead can only be called as fast as it arrives. Batch imports add hours of delay. Use one of these instead:
- Lead webhook: web forms, landing pages, lead vendors, Zapier and Make post straight into the campaign.
- Public API: for your own systems.
- GoHighLevel: include tags apply in real time through webhooks.
- Workflows: an *Add to campaign* action on a trigger such as "form submitted".
2. Dial the second they arrive
Set the campaign's Dial new leads after to 0. Agents already waiting in a power session get the lead right away, instead of on the dialer's next one-minute sweep.
3. Rank them first
Turn on Newest injected first in Settings → Queue priority (it's in the recommended rules). Leads pushed in live get a big boost that fades over 30 minutes, so they go to the next free agent ahead of your backlog.
Add Never-dialed leads first too, so fresh imports still beat leads you've already tried.
4. Work them hardest on day one
A single call isn't speed to lead. Most new leads need several attempts in the first hours. A step cadence handles this. The Speed to Lead preset:
| Step | Lead age | Dials | Gap between dials | Mode |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| P1 · First day | Day 1 | 3 | 30 minutes | Power |
| P2 · First week | Days 2–7 | 4 | 2 hours | Preview |
| P3 · Second week | Days 8–14 | 7 | About 5 hours | Preview |
See step cadences.
5. Have someone dialing
A hot lead only rings fast if an agent is in a session. If leads arrive outside staffed hours, they wait for the next agent who starts one. Calling hours still apply: a lead that arrives at 11pm in their own time zone waits until morning.
Check that it's working
- The campaign's up next list should show new leads at the top within seconds of submission.
- The Queue priority preview shows the injected boost on new leads.
- Watch connect rates on day-one leads compared with older ones.
